Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $4,000 to Maryland nonprofit organizations that are working to improve the quality of life for the citizens of the greater Annapolis area. Funding may be used for specific projects in a variety of areas, including social reform, the environment, health care, and the arts.

Grant money must be used as follows:

  • Help the Annapolis community in some demonstrable way;
  • Go toward funding specific projects and not operating expenses;
  • Result in the improvement of quality of life for the Annapolis community; and
  • Touch as many people as possible.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grant requests will be accepted in any amount up to $4,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Only 501 (C)3 charitable organizations may apply.

Although the organization does not have to be located in Annapolis, the work funded by the grant needs to be done for the benefit of the citizens of greater Annapolis.

Pre-Application Information:

Grants can be submitted after August 12th, 2019. Deadline for grant application is 5:00 PM, November 30th, 2019.

Online grant applications are preferred, but applications mailed to the funding source are accepted as well.

The Funding Source spends the month of January following the crab feast evaluating the grant requests, then notifies and distributes grant funds between February and March.
