Grants of generally up to $2,500 to USA nonprofit organizations that rescue, house, rehabilitate and adopt out domestic animals or release wildlife. Animals and wildlife can include exotic animals, farm animals, small domestic animals, and reptiles.

The animals can include the following:

Wildlife - animals that are typically released back to the wild and not restricted from roaming (skunks, squirrels, raccoons, wild bears, hawks, eagles, songbirds etc)
Exotic - animals that are typically caged and restricted from roaming (lions, tigers, monkeys, parrots, macaws etc)
Farm animals - cows, goats, donkeys, domestic farm birds, etc.
Small domestic - domestic rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbels, ferrets, etc.
Reptiles - snakes, turtles, tortoises, etc.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants are animal-based charities based in the USA with a 501.c3 status.

New this year, you must provide the organization id you were issued when you registered with your State's Charity Division/Bureau/Agency. This is not the same as the federal EIN and can generally be found by doing an internet search. An example internet search would be "New York State Charities Search".

If your State is one of the few that does not have this requirement, you may bypass the question on the application. If your State does require you to register and you fail to enter the correct registration id, you will be disqualified.

Your revenue must be less than $500,000.
