Niagara Frontier Reading Council
Grants of up to $500 to Western New York individual teaching professionals, students, parents, and other Council members who are seeking funds for programs that will enhance literacy instruction in the classroom for students. Proposed projects should directly impact students in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
The criteria for evaluation by the review committee will be:
1. Merit of idea as it relates to the NYS Standards
2. Presentation of proposal (about 2-3 pages)
3. Number of students who would benefit
4. Reasonable budget
5. How replicable the project is

Grants will be awarded for amounts up to $500.
This is an opportunity for NFRC members who have been part of the NFRC for a minimum of 2 years. If two or more people work together on a grant application, at least 1 person must be a member of 2 years or more.
The application form will be made available online at http://www.thenfrc.org/mini-grant-application-form.html, and will be mailed to all NFRC members as well.
Please Note: A more detailed call for proposals will be mailed to all NFRC members early in November.
