Grants of up to $2,500 to British Columbia arts and cultural nonprofit organizations and individuals for arts and cultural projects that benefit residents in eligible communities. Funding is intended for arts activities and programs that address local concerns and that benefit the residents of the Columbia Basin Trust region.
Objectives:
Fund individual or group projects
Respond to unique local issues
Provide funds to artists, or to arts and cultural groups
Involve more artists in local arts projects and arts decision making
Raise awareness of artists as belonging to the Basin and being interpreters of Basin culture
Examples of eligible projects:
Individual artists requiring funding to create an original new artistic project (artwork, writing, media, performance, dance, etc.);
Individuals, arts, cultural or community groups offering new projects, programs, events, and workshops;
Arts, cultural, or musical groups requiring uniforms or costumes.
Funding may include the payment of artists, performers and writers for the production, performance, or exhibition of their works.
