Grant Categories:
1. Organizations that empower teen girls – ages 12-21
Womenade seeks to support organizations and/or programs within organizations that address the needs of girls who are economically disadvantaged, socially at risk, and/or without the mentors or role models they need to thrive. Womenade is interested in supporting those organizations or programs that improve the self-esteem of teen girls and help motivate them to develop the life skills and knowledge-base they need to lead productive and fulfilling lives.
2. Organizations that empower women - ages 22 and older
Womenade seeks to support organizations and/or programs within organizations that address the needs of adult women who are economically disadvantaged, socially at risk, and/or without the social supports they need to thrive. These women might be veterans, coming out of prison, or may have been subject to exploitation. Womenade is interested in supporting organizations or programs that improve opportunities for these women, including helping them identify and prepare for personal, educational, and job opportunities, building skills, and boosting self-esteem so they can achieve their goals and lead fulfilling, self-sufficient lives.
Applicants must specify the category (teen girls or women) for which they are seeking funds and propose a program or project commensurate with the size of the Foundation's grants. Grant applicants must show evidence that their mission is dedicated to and delivered within Greater Boston and the I-495 corridor.
Womenade Boston will provide grants for programs, projects, infrastructure, and organizational capacity building.
