Grants of up to $20,000 to California public and private organizations that serve women and young children in eligible regions. Funding is intended to support building renovation projects, construction projects, or equipment purchases. Consideration will be given to organizations that assist pregnant women and children ages zero through five. This program should benefit residents from Tulare County.
Capital Projects: Land, equipment purchases or upgrade, building construction, and building renovation will be considered for funding. The value of a single item must be at least $5,000 and there must be a life expectancy of at least five years. A recipient of these funds must certify that the item(s) purchased will be used in a way consistent with the goals of First 5 Tulare County for a minimum of five years. Building projects may require a deed restriction committing the use of the property consistent with Proposition 10 requirements for a minimum of 20 years.

The estimated commencement date for projects will be July 1, 2021, with completion dates variable depending upon the nature and scope of each project.
