Grant Description
Grants to Alberta nonprofit organizations, businesses, art societies and collectives, and community groups to support public events in eligible regions. Funding may be requested for core staging costs for single-day and multi-day events. Eligible events include tours and educational events, performances, art installations, and parades. Events must take place in Downtown Edmonton, within the DBA’s borders.

The Edmonton Downtown Business Association (EDBA) supports events that bring vibrancy to the core in safe, thoughtful and innovative ways. Through this program, the EDBA seeks to increase visitation to Downtown, support and increase revenue for Downtown businesses, offer employment opportunities for Edmonton artists and support equity and diversity in the Downtown community. The Associations wants to work together to elevate the Downtown experience for everyone.

The Festivals & Events Grant encourages applications for one day events as well as large festivals operated by not-for-profit arts organizations, recognized arts societies/collectives, community groups, and small businesses. Funding is prioritized based on the following guiding principles: public impact, economic impact, artistic impact, cultural impact and a demonstrated financial need.
