Grants of $25,000 to local Massachusetts resident-led groups that are engaged in projects aimed at strengthening the Boston neighborhoods of Dorchester, Hyde Park, Mattapan, and/or Roxbury. These grants can include both a monetary and technical assistance component. For the purposes of these grants, "technical assistance" is defined as help from consultants or specialists to implement or grow an applicant's idea.

Projects must include resident leadership, be submitted by three or more individual or organizational participants, and include representatives from at least two of the following three sector groups:
1. Non-profit sector
2. Private sector (examples: local businesses such as stores or restaurants, corporations, etc.)
3. Public sector (examples: government offices, libraries, police departments, parks departments, public schools, BCYF community centers, etc.)

Preference will be given to applications that focus on neighborhoods on or near the Fairmount Indigo transit line. “Neighborhood” can be as small as one block or as large as you would like to define it.

Collaborative projects can either be existing efforts that are looking to expand or new collaborations with new ideas.
