Grants to Ontario nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for cultural events that benefit the local community. Some applicants are required to attend an information session before submitting a proposal. Funding is intended to support operational expenses associated with providing a clean and safe venue for the presentation of public arts, culture, and heritage celebrations and festivals. Funded activities must serve the residents of Mississauga.
The Cultural Festivals and Celebrations (CFC) Grant program is designed to align with the vision of Mississauga’s Culture Master Plan by supporting a range of activities reflecting the City’s many cultural traditions and practices. The City is committed to the long-term growth and sustainability of culture and the quality of life of its resident.
CFC grants provide assistance in four categories:

The amount of funding an organization is eligible to apply for is based on the eligibility levels:
- New and Emerging: May apply for up to 30% of the festival's total operating budget or $15,000, whichever is less.
- Established: May apply for up to 30% of the festival's total operating budget or $120,000, whichever is less.
- One-Time Major Events: May apply for up to 30% of the festival's operating budget or $50,000, whichever is less.
- Multi-Year: May apply for up to 30% of the festival's total operating budget or $120,000, whichever is less.
Festivals in the Multi-Year category receive three-year funding.
