Grants to Thurston County region, Washington nonprofit organizations and Tribes for projects and programs that provide basic needs or increase educational success of underserved populations. An orientation session will be held on February 24, 2017.
At least 60% of CIP funds are intended for programs that increase educational success and resiliency of at-risk children and families. Single-year or three-year funding is available.
Up to 40% of CIP funds are designated for programs that meet basic needs of at-risk populations (single-year funding only).
- Implement critical strategies that achieve measurable results;
- Coordinate community assets (partnership, agency and community volunteer time, staff and other resources); and
- Serve as a catalyst to achieve collective impacts for existing large systems changes.
When reviewing proposals for 2017, past performance will be considered.

This funding will be for one year with programs starting on July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018. The CIP Steering Committee will make both single-year and multi-year funding awards. Applications that receive a multi-year award will receive a contract that is funded with one year of funding that is renewable for an additional year(s) based on the availability of funding and a review of performance. Multi-year awards will be for up to three (3) years.
