Grant Description
Grants of up to $2,500 to Washington early childhood education programs, school districts, and K-3 curriculums to improve early learning opportunities for children in eligible locations. Funding is intended to provide children with a solid educational foundation that will lead to lifelong success. Applicants must be located in Thurston County.

The Olympia Tumwater Foundation, in its efforts to increase and enhance educational programs in the county, is dedicated to providing educators with funds to implement and administer learning opportunities that go beyond the basic available funding of their programs. 

Applications will be evaluated based on the following goals of the grant program:

  • To stimulate student creativity and motivation to learn.
  • To enhance the current learning environment.
  • To leave a lasting impact on as many students as possible.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Grants are offered to school districts, early childhood education programs, and K-3 curriculums located in Thurston County.

Ineligible
Applications for teacher/staff training are excluded.

Pre-Application Information
2023-2024 grant applications must be received by October 20, 2023.

Award letters will be mailed in mid-November.

Estimated Size of Grant
Individual grants vary in size from around $300 to $2,500.
