Grants of up to $10,000 to Texas nonprofit organizations in eligible counties to meet community health needs. This program makes small grants for projects that will make significant strides in meeting local health needs. Priority will be placed on the following initiatives: increase capacity to better provide health services, support grassroots health activities, and church health ministry development. Eligible organizations must operate in at least one of the following counties of the Foundation's service area: Bandera, Atascosa, Comal, Bexar, Kendall, Guadalupe, Wilson, and Medina.
The Foundation welcomes a wide variety of organizations to apply for funding, but each request must be connected to health in a way that is clinical, educational, spiritual, or scientific.

The Foundation will make grants to support general operating expenses, including salaries. However, the organization must be able to sustain these costs beyond the Foundation grant period.

The Foundation cannot fund ongoing requests.
The Board prefers to make single-year grant awards. At the Board’s discretion, multi-year requests (2 or 3 years) may be considered but are rare.
