Grants to Illinois nonprofit organizations, groups, and individuals in eligible locations for activities that benefit the local community. Funding is intended to support programs and projects that address current needs and may be used for arts and culture, health and human services, recreation, environment, and other charitable purposes. Funds must serve communities in the Highland area.

The Foundation seeks to make grant awards in response to current and emerging needs or gaps of needed services. It is inclusive in addressing all the charitable needs of the area. Grants are made for charitable purposes in the areas of health and human services, arts and culture, education, religion, civic affairs, recreation, community development, environment, conservation, and others.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are awarded to not-for-profit organizations or groups to benefit the Highland area community.

Grants are given for not-for-profit purposes and to individuals, organizations, or groups that provide community services within the Highland Community Unit School District, St. Jacob and Marine townships, or in the Village of St. Rose and St. Rose Township.

Pre-Application Information:

Deadline for submittal is July 15. One original copy of application and accompanying submission should be mailed or delivered not later than the deadline date.

Grant awards will be announced at the Foundation’s 25th Annual Grants Banquet October 12, 2021 which will be sponsored by Busey Bank again this year.
