Grants of $1,000 to USA nonprofit organizations, libraries, schools, and universities for programs and activities that raise awareness about censorship issues and intellectual freedom. Proposed activities must take place during the week of September 18 through September 24, during the annual Banned Books Week celebration.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Staff at all types of libraries, schools, universities, and non-profit community organizations are encouraged to apply.

To be eligible for a grant, organizations must not have been a recipient of an FTRF grant within the past five years.
