Grants to Ontario nonprofit and governmental museums to support organizational operations. Applications are invited from qualifying community museums throughout the province. This program supports museums that contribute to Ontario communities’ economic wellbeing as tourist attractions and employers. This support strengthens museums’ role in their communities as custodians and interpreters of the province's irreplaceable heritage collections.

Who Can Apply:

Museums that operate year-round or seasonaly are required to meet these criteria’s set out in accordance with Regulation 877, “Grants for Museums” under the Ontario Heritage Act and ministry’s Standards for Community Museums in Ontario.

Please Note:

Only museums that received funding through CMOG in 2017-18 are eligible to submit an application.

Eligible Museums:
-Conservation Authority/First Nations Council Members
-Municipal Museums
-Registered Charity or Not-for-Profit Museums

As part of the Ontario Culture Strategy, the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport is currently in the process of reviewing funding programs for community museums and heritage organizations.

Pre-Application Information:

Completed applications with all mandatory documents must be submitted online no later than 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their completed applications well in advance of the deadline.
