Grants totaling $65,000 to USA non-profit family justice or domestic violence agencies to provide domestic violence survivors with the critical resources and economic empowerment tools necessary to develop self-sufficiency. Applicants may wish to submit their proposal idea prior to completing a full application. Research indicates that domestic violence victims are less likely to leave and stay away from abusers if they have limited access and hope for achieving economic stability.
Examples of successful programs include those that:
-Demonstrate serving or the opportunity to serve a significant volume of clients who seek comprehensive case management support;
-Have developed and sustained community support linkages to programs and organizations that will enhance client outcomes; and
-Incorporate effective client mentoring programs in addition to core services already provided.
