Grants to Connecticut nonprofit organizations to support programs in the areas of child welfare and education. Special emphasis is placed on organizations that offer training to elementary and secondary school teachers to assist students in achieving a higher standard of living.

Grants from the Carse Foundation are 1 year in duration. Applicants will not be awarded a grant for more than 3 consecutive years.
Proposals will be considered from eligible, tax-exempt organizations in certain 501(c)(3) subsections as defined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Grant requests for general operating support or capital projects will not be considered.
The Elizabeth Carse Foundation has an annual deadline of August 15. Applicants will be notified of grant decisions by letter within 2 to 3 months after the proposal deadline.
Please submit online applications by 11:59 PM on the day of the foundation’s deadline date. If the deadline falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, applications are due on the next business day by 11:59 PM.
