Grants of up to $10,000 to Texas nonprofit organizations in eligible regions for projects and programs that address needs in the community. Consideration will be given to programs that focus on human services. Preference is given to organizations operating in or serving Tarrant County.
Applicants must be classified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
Ineligible
The Trust does not consider grant requests from individuals and does not support organizations attempting to influence policy through direct lobbying or any political campaigns.
Pre-Application Information
The Milton Hicks Wood & Helen Gibbs Wood Charitable Trust application deadline is August 1.
Decision timeframe: 3-4 months.
Please submit online applications by 11:59 p.m. on the day of the foundation’s deadline date. If the application deadline date falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, the deadline is not extended, therefore applications must be submitted on the prior business day by 11:59 p.m.
Online grant applications will be accepted 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, generally on, or prior to the proposal due date. However, applicant inquiries can only be answered during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. CT.
