Grant Description

Grants of up to $15,000 to Texas nonprofit organizations for programs that benefit the community. Funding areas of interest include education; the arts, including performing and nonperforming arts; children who are disabled, orphaned, or disadvantaged; and the elderly who are disabled in any way. Preference is given to organizations, operating in, or serving Tarrant County.

The Trust considers requests from charitable organizations that focus on the program areas noted above.

Pre-Application Information:

The Helen Gertrude Sparks Charitable Trust application deadline is August 1.
The decision timeframe is 3-4 months.

Please submit online applications by 11:59 p.m. on the day of the foundation’s deadline date. If the application deadline date falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, the deadline is not extended; therefore applications must be submitted on the prior business day by 11:59 p.m.

Online grant applications will be accepted 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, generally on, or prior to the proposal due date. However, applicant inquiries can only be answered during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. CT.
