Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to USA college students who are working to raise awareness and effect change on the issue of gender-related violence on their campus. Funding can support programs, resources and education that focus on relationship and domestic abuse, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other gender-related discrimination.
Eligible programs can include everything from creating educational resources (such as fliers and brochures) on campus, to hosting a workshop, to funding a club or campus organization, to creating an event.
A strong candidate will be evaluated based on their:
-Commitment: Demonstrates eloquence, passion, and existing commitment to the topic.
-Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge about the various topics facing women on campus and ability to speak on the topics.
-Vision: Clear vision of how he/she would use the requested funds to further their efforts.
-Engagement: Does the initiative help create change in the larger campus and/or community?
One grant winner will be selected by SOW, Pivot TV, and Robin McGraw to attend a Take Part Live and/or Dr. Phil show taping.
