Request a Grant Writer

Matching grants of up to $5,000 to Westchester County, New York cultural organizations to boost operating income by attracting new contributions. Funds are matched and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis between October 1 through December 19. Awards support general operations and programs. Qualified organizations are invited to solicit funding from multiple sources to be matched by the funding source.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

You may not apply the awards to capital projects, deficit reduction initiatives or special fund-raising events.

Pre-Application Information:

Funding is limited and available on a first-come, first served basis until all funds have been distributed. This means that funds contributed before October 1, 2014 or after December 19, 2014 are not eligible for matching funds. In addition, ArtsWestchester cannot release matching funds until it receives funds from Westchester County.

Only funds raised specifically to meet the Challenge are eligible for the match. Your contributors must certify that this is their intention. The restrictions that apply to your Basic Support Contract for Services apply: you may not solicit funds from Westchester County Government or Project Support.

The only documentation ArtsWestchester requires is:
1) Proof of payment (copy of check, credit card receipt, cash receipts are not acceptable)
2) Completed donor certification form(s)

The deadline is December 19, 2014, consistent with the last day of the designated period. For funds to be eligible for a match, you must submit completed certification form(s) and documentation of payment(s) by 5:30 PM December 19, 2014 (or postmarked on December 19, 2014.) Please note, because funds are distributed on a first-come, first served basis, submitting materials by the deadline does not guarantee funding.
