Grants to Massachusetts municipal departments, businesses, individuals, and nonprofit organizations for events that promote tourism in eligible areas. Grant funds may be used for program expenses, town fees, or marketing. Funding is intended to strengthen community character and to promote the Town of Yarmouth as a tourist destination.

The tourism grant is a reimbursement program to help offset the expenditures associated with special events and programs. Funding is intended to encourage the establishment of new events or the expansion of existing events that help to sustain Yarmouth’s tourism industry and promote the community as a desirable place to live, work and visit.

Term of Contract:

Funding is for the marketing and production of events held from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Proposals will be accepted from any individual, business, municipal department, or non-profit organization conducting an event located in the Town of Yarmouth that are scheduled to take place between January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

Ineligible Expenditures: Reimbursements for airfare, hotel, meals, and alcohol.

Pre-proposal Conference:

An informational meeting for the public will be held on Monday, November 18th 2019 at 4:30 pm at the Yarmouth Town Hall, Room A, 1146 Route 28, South Yarmouth MA 02664.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due by 2:00 pm on Monday, November 25th 2019. ​​​​

Interviews with applicants will occur at the following dates and times in Room A, Town Hall:​​ ​
​ Monday, Dec 2nd 2019, 4:30-6:30 pm;
​ Monday, Dec 9th 2019, 4:30-6:30 pm; and
​ Monday, Dec 16th 2019, 4:30-6:30 pm.
​Applicants will be informed of their time slot.
