Grants of up to $15,000 to Alexandria, Virginia nonprofit organizations to strengthen leadership and address organizational needs. Applicants must submit a letter of intent prior to submitting a grant agreement. Eligible focus areas include strategic planning, racial equity, and community engagement.

Funding Priorities for 2019:
  • Strategic Planning: Plan development, plan revision/update, board and staff strategy retreats, etc.
  • Racial Equity: Training on racial equity, racial equity audit, racial equity plan development, etc.
  • Community Engagement (Elevating the Voice of Constituents): Training on effective community engagement, movement building and community organizing, creation of community advisory boards, constituent service/satisfaction surveys and/or focus groups, planning for 2020 Census outreach efforts, etc.
