Grants of up to $500 to local California K-8 schools that are seeking financial assistance for projects and events that are related to the study of science and/or the environment. Qualifying schools must be located in Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, Stanislaus, or Tulare Counties. Grant funds are to be applied toward the purchase of scientific supplies, equipment, or curriculum materials.
Awards will be made on the basis of the quality of the educational experience and alignment with the grantor's stated goals as proposed in the application. The Education Committee will review all applications received and determine the winners and the amount of each award.
