Junior League of Kane and DuPage Counties (JLKD)
Grant of $1,000 to an Illinois PreK-5 teacher or group of teachers in Kane, DuPage, Kendall or Will Counties for an innovative program or project that otherwise would not be covered by the school budget. Funding is intended to support excellence in teaching and student programming.
Please note that the school or program must serve 20% or more of children from a low-income family/household (see Additional Eligibility Information for details).

To be eligible for the grant:
(1) Teachers must be employed full- or part-time at any public or private school serving students who are in pre-k through fifth grade.
(2) The school or program serves 20% or more of children from a “low-income family/household" within DuPage, Kane, Kendall, or Will County, Illinois. A “low income family/household” is defined as having an annual income that does not exceed 200% of the federal poverty line.
Grants may not be used to fund food and refreshments.
Applications must be received online by March 1, 2018. Grant recipients will be notified individually.
