Grant Description

Grants of up to $300 to Cook County, Illinois K-12 schools for the continuation or implementation of a school garden. The purpose of this grant is to develop student awareness of agriculture through school gardening and promote curriculum development of concepts that transfer from the garden to the classroom to the home. Curriculum areas should include science, social studies, language arts, fine arts and math.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are available to Cook County elementary, middle or high school for the continuation of or implementation of a school garden. This excludes community, college and pre-school gardens.

Pre-Application Information:

Complete the application below by February 1, 2015 and include any supplemental information that would be helpful in describing your garden project plan.

Recipients will be notified by February 28, 2015
