Florida Agriculture in the Classroom (FAITC)
Awards of up to $500 to Florida public and private school teachers who integrate agriculturalal lessons into their curriculum. There are four categories of awards: elementary school, middle school, high school, and middle school agriscience. From there, the funding source will pick on overall winner. The overall winner will receive a $500 honorarium and the other winners will receive $250.
These awards are intended to recognize teachers for their amazing agriculture lessons and projects they are doing with their students. Teachers will be asked to demonstrate their methods of integrating and instructing one or more of the following national agricultural literacy themes in their classroom:
- Agriculture and the Environment
- Plants and Animals for Food, Fiber and Energy
- Food, Health, and Lifestyle
- Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
- Culture, Society, Economy and Geography

The overall winner will receive a $500 honorarium and the other winners will receive $250. Winners win a trip to the 2019 National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Any teacher in the state of Florida is eligible to apply for the 2019 Excellence in Teaching About Agriculture Awards. This includes both public schools and private schools.
The deadline to apply is November 15, 2018.
