Grants of up to $500 to Dane County, Wisconsin community- and school-based nonprofit organizations for valuable programs led by local students. Eligible projects will demonstrate student involvement and provide community services without political bias. Funding is intended to support youth groups and high school student groups whose mission or interest is relevant to the speakers' topics.

The topics for the 2019-2020 meetings are:
- Civic engagement
- Addressing racial inequalities and making democracy work for everyone
- Climate change
- Presidential primary and top issues facing voters

Estimated Size of Grant:

Awards of up to $500 will be given.

Madison Civics Club will pay for the brunches of two student representatives and one adult chaperone on the meeting's day.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for funding by the Madison Civics Club, an organization must qualify as a nonprofit and include a copy of the organization's 501(c)(3) or equivalent determination letter from the IRS. Organizations affiliated with public schools meet this criteria.

Grants may not be used in any program that discriminates on the basis of race, sex, religion, color creed, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry or age, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.
