Grants of up to $10,000 to California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Texas, and Washington organizations in eligible locations to strengthen the family unit through community projects. Applicants must submit a Letter of Inquiry prior to applying. Funding is intended to support building improvements, project equipment needs, small capital projects, and operation requests for new program start-ups (up to two years old).

  • Texas: Coppell and Frisco
  • Washington: Seattle

The Papé Family Foundation's mission is to affect in a positive way the communities in which the various family members reside. The Foundation will encourage family interaction and will engender family unity and mutual respect. It will foster the members’ interests, activities, and values in service, philanthropy, and stewardship. The Foundation's intention is to strengthen family relationships.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The minimum grant amount is $5,000. Average grants are between $5,000 and $10,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible organizations must be located within a 50-mile radius of cities where the Foundation's trustees reside:
- California: San Francisco
- Colorado: Montrose
- Idaho: Boise
- Oregon: Bend, Eugene, Portland, Sunriver
- Texas: Coppell, Frisco
- Washington: Seattle

Grant requests may not include salaries.

Pre-Application Information:

The Foundation has one funding cycle per year. Below are relevant dates for the Foundation's current cycle:
- January 1-15, 2021: Letter of Inquiry accepted through the online Grants Management System.
- February 19, 2021: Organizations notified of LOI status. Online Grant Application available to selected organizations based on LOI.
- March 5, 2021: Application Deadline.
- March and April 2021: Grant Committee convenes to consider requests. Site visits may be made to organizations that have not previously applied for a grant.
- Late May 2021: Applicants notified of board decision.*

*Organizations that have submitted a full application but are not selected for a grant in May will be eligible to receive funding from the Adjunct Board (4th-generation adjunct trustees), as well as considered for end of year grants from the Grant Committee. The Adjunct Board meets in late July to make grant decisions. End-of-year grants are determined on a year-by-year basis in December if the CPA recommends that additional funds be distributed.

Organizations interested in seeking funding from the Papé Family Foundation should first submit a Letter of Inquiry through the online Grants Management System. The Foundation only accepts LOIs submitted through the website. Select organizations will then be invited to complete the application process. Grant Applications are accepted by invitation only.
