Grants to Greater Cincinnati area, Ohio nonprofit organizations for educational programs that improve the community's understanding of the law, promote justice, and increase access to the law. Priority is given to requests for startup funds rather than operating support. To be considered, programs must demonstrate how they meet the Foundation’s mission of improving the community’s understanding of and access to the law.

The applicant agrees to use grant funds within 12 months of the date the Board approves the grant. If it becomes clear that the funds will not be used for the purpose requested, the applicant will return the funds within the 12-month grant period.
Any nonprofit organization is welcomed and encouraged to submit a request for funding. Only 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Organizations may apply.
The Foundation conducts two grant cycles per year, typically in April and October, with application deadlines at the end of February and the end of August respectively.
The Cincinnati Bar Foundation is requesting proposals for the Spring 2019 grant session. All applications must be received by 5 p.m. February 22, 2019.
Grant awards will be announced following the Cincinnati Bar Foundation Board meeting scheduled for Monday, April 8, 2019, at 12:00 p.m.
