Grant of $8,000 to a Porter County, Indiana nonprofit organization for a charitable initiative that supports innovative education and youth development for children and youth (ages 0-18). The program or project for which funding is being requested must address the needs and opportunities that support the Fund’s purpose of improving the quality of life for the community’s children of all ages.
Priority will be given to innovative programs that demonstrate positive outcomes in one of the following areas:
-Providing children and youth the opportunity to develop character and leadership skills, build self-esteem, achieve academic success and be involved in mentoring programs that prepare young people to participate productively in society and contribute back to their communities.
-Improving the mental and/or physical wellbeing of children and youth through programs that encourage them to adopt and maintain active and healthy lifestyles.
-Promoting positive relationships among youth from diverse cultural and ethnic groups.
-Providing developmental opportunities for children with disabilities.
