Request a Grant Writer

Grant of $8,000 to a Porter County, Indiana nonprofit organization for a charitable initiative that supports innovative education and youth development for children and youth (ages 0-18). The program or project for which funding is being requested must address the needs and opportunities that support the Fund’s purpose of improving the quality of life for the community’s children of all ages.

Priority will be given to innovative programs that demonstrate positive outcomes in one of the following areas:

-Providing children and youth the opportunity to develop character and leadership skills, build self-esteem, achieve academic success and be involved in mentoring programs that prepare young people to participate productively in society and contribute back to their communities.

-Improving the mental and/or physical wellbeing of children and youth through programs that encourage them to adopt and maintain active and healthy lifestyles.

-Promoting positive relationships among youth from diverse cultural and ethnic groups.

-Providing developmental opportunities for children with disabilities.

The grant recipient must sign a grant agreement which includes a requirement that the grants funds will be utilized within two years from the date the grant is received.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The @PCgivingproject welcomes nonprofit organizations serving Porter County to submit a grant request.

Recipient organizations must be organized for tax exempt purposes as set forth in Section 501(c)(3)of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

Not Funded:
-Projects or programs that do not address issues facing children or youth;
-Scholarship programs including daycare and program participation fees;
-Annual appeals or membership contributions;
-Event sponsorships;
-Programs that are sectarian or religious in nature;
-Political organizations or candidates;
-Contributions to endowment campaigns;
-Campaigns to reduce previously incurred debt;
-Individuals;
-Programs already completed and/or equipment already contracted for; and
-Travel for bands, sports teams and similar groups.

All proposals should be paper clipped. Please do not place in folders, 3-ring binders, staple or spiral bind. Only ONE copy of the proposal needs to be submitted. Proposals may be:
