Award of $10,000 to a USA African-American entrepreneur for the best short pitch, focusing on products or services that can be offered to a company. The top 10 finalists will have 2 minutes to pitch their idea to judges and a live audience for a chance to win. Business ideas must be original and have commercial promise.

Entrants can be one person or a team. There is no limit to the number of team members. No PowerPoint presentations or other media are allowed.

Pre-Application Information:

A video submission (no more than two minutes in length) must be submitted via youtube with the title 2015 BE Elevator Pitch Competition-(your business name) by the contest deadline. Send your video link to beevents@blackenterprise.com.

Include your name, email and phone number. In the subject line, write 2015 BE Elevator Pitch Competition. Ten semi-finalists will be determined and notified.

Finalists will receive a complimentary registration for you and a guest to the 2015 Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference + Expo. The selected semi-finalists must be present on Thursday, May 14th at the Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference + Expo where they will pitch their idea to judges and a live audience. There will be a time limit of 60 seconds for each pitch.

Five finalists will be determined by the audience and live stream voting. The five finalists will pitch their business again with a 30 second time limit. A question and answer session for the judges will follow each presentation. The winner will be determined by the judges.
