Grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 to Lebanon County, Pennsylvania nonprofit, social service agencies for programs and projects that benefit local families and children. Funding may be used to create new programs, expand or improve existing programs, fund a strategic planning process, or offer special professional development opportunities for members of your staff.

Any request that includes on-going personnel costs must demonstrate how such costs will be met in subsequent years. Equipment may be requested if its acquisition would result in the achievement of a significant efficiency, is required to initiate a new program, or would greatly enhance an existing program.

The average grant is $500 to $2,000.

Term of Contract:

Proposed projects may take place at any time during the grant year beginning July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019.

Applicants are encouraged to clearly demonstrate service to Lebanon County residents and/or communities.

Applications will be considered without regard to race, gender, religion, national origin, or sexual orientation.

The Family and Children’s Services of Lebanon County Fund will not make awards for endowment, construction or renovation of facilities, or for general operating funds. No agency may apply for more than one grant per year.

In addition, following TFEC guidelines, this grant opportunity does not fund:

- Advertising
- Capital campaigns
- Direct lobbying to influence legislation or funding appropriations
- Individuals
- National and statewide umbrella organizations that cannot demonstrate a local presence
- New staff positions without a substantial plan for sustainability
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
- Retroactive projects

Key Dates and Deadlines:

- October 1, 2017: Application available.
- February 1, 2018: All application materials (both online and mailed or hand delivered) must be received by, not postmarked by, 4:00pm.
- Applicants will be notified of their grant status on or before June 1, 2018.

Availability of Technical Assistance:

All applicants are invited to contact Jennifer Strechay, Program Officer to discuss an in progress or proposed project (see Contact Information section below for email address and phone number). Applicants may request one review of their application materials by Ms. Strechay prior to submission; please note that requests made later than two weeks prior to the grant submission deadline will not be honored. A review of your draft documents can be submitted by email and other questions related to your project can be discussed by telephone prior to the deadline; general grant questions are welcome at any time. TFEC also provides feedback on proposals that were not funded.
