Grant Description
Grants to Alberta qualified donees, including municipalities and charities, for community support projects in eligible regions. Funding is intended for projects in the areas of health, education, arts, culture, and recreation. Applicants must serve residents of the municipalities in the BRCF service area in Camrose and Flagstaff Counties.

Projects that impact the largest number of individuals possible with a modest investment of funds are preferred. In general, grants are approved for needs not met by other funding sources.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Nonprofit organizations may partner with a qualified donee for a joint project.

The Canada Revenue Agency recognizes organizations issued a charitable registration number (which is different than a business number issued by the CRA) and in good standing with the CRA as qualified donees. Alberta municipalities are also recognized as qualified donees.

Grants are made on an annual basis only to organizations recognized as "qualified donees" by the Canada Revenue Agency. This includes registered charities and municipalities.

Pre-Application Information
The deadline for grant applications is August 15th each year and funds are generally distributed to successful applicants in late November or early in December.

In the case where a nonprofit organization partners with a qualified donee, there will be additional information about the project partnership and the project partners to consider and the Declaration of Affiliation Form will be required.
