Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)
Grants of $500 to Colorado law enforcement agencies, local government agencies, nonprofits, for-profits, and other organizations for short-term activities related to child safety in cars and other vehicles. Applicants propose a week-long project that has specific measurable goals and objectives. Funds will be provided for specific safety education and enforcement activities.

-Other entities involved in traffic safety education and outreach
Unallowable Project Costs:
All projects must follow appropriate state and federal funding regulations. Examples of unallowable project costs include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Office furniture and fixtures
-Food and Beverages
-Routine roadway construction or maintenance
-Funds that supplant existing budgets*
*Federal regulations prohibit supplanting of funds. Examples of supplanting include: replacing routine and/or existing State or local expenditures with the use of Federal grant funds and/or using Federal grant funds for cost of activities that constitute general expenses required to carry out the overall responsibilities of state, local or federally recognized Indian tribal government.
CDOT funds grants on a cost-reimbursement basis only. CDOT will not make payments in advance or in anticipation of goods or services.
