Grants to Alberta nonprofit community leagues for capacity building and programs to benefit residents in eligible locations. Applicants are required to create an account prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended to support the unique needs in organizations' neighborhoods, improve collaboration with other organizations, help organizations meet operating requirements, and deliver effective and efficient programs and services. Grants should benefit residents of the City of Edmonton.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grant awards are calculated by allocating a base amount to each league and a per capita amount for the population using the most recent neighborhood Census data.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet all of the terms and conditions as set out in Policy C502A including:
- Be a registered not-for-profit society
- Provide community-based programs and services to residents
- Optimize the use of their facility by allowing other not-for-profit, multicultural, and indigenous groups to use the facility for activities that align with the terms of the Tripartite License Agreement
- Be a member of the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues in good standing
- Be in good financial and legal standing with the City of Edmonton
- Signed the most current Tripartite License Agreement (if applicable)
- Outstanding final reports from the Community League Infrastructure Program grant need to be submitted in order to receive a Community League Operating Grant

Leagues applying for this grant do not qualify for any other operating grant from the City of Edmonton.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline to apply for the 2022 Community League Operating Grant is Wednesday April 27, 2022. Applications received after this deadline may not be processed.
