Grants of up to $5,000 to Missouri nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and schools for programs to address the health needs of the local community in eligible locations. Funding is intended for health and wellness-related programming. Grants are available to any non-profit organization serving Stone and/or Taney County.
Priority will be given to programs that are collaborative and address a top identified health need. These include:
Priority will be given to collaborative initiatives that address dental care, substance abuse/tobacco, unhealthy body weight, mental health, child and family safety, improved access to care and community health workers.
Any health education request must fall within this category.
Estimated Size of Grant:
Helping Hands Grants are one-year awards. There is no guarantee of funding for a second year.
If approved, grant funds will be awarded in mid-November. The grant year runs Dec. 1 through Nov. 30 of the following year.
