Grants to Colorado nonprofit organizations to benefit residents of the City of Aspen. Funding may be requested for general community programming or to support the arts. Community grants provide funding for programs that may include, but are not limited to, athletics, education, exhibits (museums, historic sites, and events), fundraising, leadership development, literacy, media (radio, TV, social media, publications), and recreation. Arts programs include, but are not limited to, music, visual arts, dance, film, theater, fine arts, and studio arts.

The City of Aspen provides funding support to private 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.

- Wheeler Non-Profit Arts Grants support nonprofit arts groups.
- The Community Non-Profit Grants provides funding support to private 501(c)3 non-profit organizations, including community-based organizations and groups.

Pre-Application Information:

2020 Application Process:

- May 2019: 2020 Grant Applications Available
- July 29th, 2019: 2020 Grant Applications Due
- September / October: Grant Application Review and Interviews by Committee
- End of October: Committee Makes Recommendations to City Council
- November: City Council will consider the funding recommendations during the City's Annual Budget Process
- November / December: City of Aspen Budget Approved
- December / January: 2020 Grant Contracts Mailed to Approved Nonprofits
- Mid-April 2020: 2020 Grant Checks Mailed
