Awards of $25,000, $10,000 and $5,000 to Canada teachers, principals, and administrators of K-12 schools for programs that demonstrate innovative teaching or learning modalities, with a particular focus on improvement of student engagement and learning. Prizes will be presented to the schools or school districts.
There are the two focus areas in the selection process:
- The process used to initiate and scale the program throughout the applicant’s school district.
- The critical factors that led to a positive impact on students and student learning.
Criteria used to evaluate the success of the program include, among other factors, replicability, the district's public declaration and financial commitment to sustain the program, widespread public support, and willingness to share lessons learned.
