Grant Description

Award to a Canada female mathematician in recognition of outstanding research contributions to the field. The recipient must be a member of the Canadian mathematical community and must have the support of three colleagues.

The Prize is an Inuit soapstone sculpture. Each sculpture is different, granting the recipient a unique Canadian piece of art. As well, the recipient of the Krieger-Nelson Prize presents a plenary lecture at a CMS meeting.

Female mathematicians are eligible.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline for nominations is June 30, 2016. Nominations and reference letters should be submitted electronically, preferably in PDF format, by the appropriate deadline, to knprize@cms.math.ca.

Nominators should ask at least three referees to submit letters directly to the CMS ( knprize@cms.math.ca) by September 30, 2016. Some arms length referees are strongly encouraged. Nomination letters should list the chosen referees, and should include a recent curriculum vitae for the nominee, if available.

The prize lecture will be delivered at the Summer Meeting.

A nomination can be updated and will remain active for two years.
