Grants of up to $15,000 to Ontario registered charities and qualified donees for programs and services to benefit residents in eligible locations. Focus areas include the alleviation of poverty, the environment, youth engagement and support, supports and services for seniors/persons with disabilities, and accessibility to the arts. Grants from this fund support and enhance services and facilities offered in the area formerly known as the Town of Dundas.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

HCF provides grants for projects that benefit the citizens of Hamilton and by law, grants only to registered Canadian charities and others qualified as described in Section 110 of the Income Tax Act. On occasion, not-for-profit organizations without charitable status may be sponsored by a registered charity.

Grant funds are not available to support:
- Individuals
- Endowment funds
- Deficit financing
- Conferences and seminars
- Capital campaigns
