Grants of up to $25,000 to South Carolina nonprofit organizations to benefit communities within the funding source’s service area. Applications are accepted from organizations providing services in the areas of youth and education; health, wellness, and treatment; community and economic development; and environmental enhancement and quality of life.

Organizations should seek grants to provide specific services that benefit residents of the Blue Ridge Electric Company's service area. The cooperative supplies electric service in Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens and a small portion of Spartanburg counties located in Upstate South Carolina.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The community grant funding is limited to $25,000 per grant.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must provide evidence of 501(c)(3) IRS nonprofit tax-exempt status.

Applications for religious or political use will not be reviewed for funding.

General operating expenses should not be requested.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline to apply is July 31. Applications are only accepted online.

Grants will be announced early December.
