Opportunity for Michigan businesses to showcase innovative new high-tech business concepts to potential investors and compete for business development funding. Applicants must first register before applying. The competition is intended to support entrepreneurs who are driving innovation and taking risks in high-tech industries.

Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition, a program of ID Ventures, is a competition that supports Michigan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by offering entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their companies to investors while building connections with entrepreneurs, business acceleration resources, and experts in their sector during carefully curated individual meetings.

The competition features the best and brightest seed-stage businesses and introduces them to angel and venture capital firms while awarding up to $1,000,000 in cash and services. Since its launch in 2010, AMIC semi-finalists have created over 1,300 jobs and attracted more than $900 million in additional investment.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To participate in Accelerate Michigan, your company must meet all 6 of the following requirements:

1. Competed in Accelerate Michigan no more than twice before
2. Not received more than $25,000 in awards from Accelerate Michigan
3. Raised less than $3 million in capital investment
4. Less than $5 million in annual revenue
5. Potential to achieve more than $10 million in revenue within 5 years
6. Is a scalable, technology-based business that is beyond proof of concept

Pre-Application Information:

How to enter:

- Step 1: Register. If you plan to compete, your registration must be received by August 16.
- Step 2: Complete Application. All applications must be completed by August 31. Application fee of $100 is waived if completed by August 16.
- Step 3: Compete. On November 13 semi-finalists will pitch to investors and a panel of judges during the afternoon of the event. Finalists will move on to pitch to the entire AMIC audience that evening.

- Company Registration Deadline – August 16 (Companies MUST have registered to be eligible to apply)
- Company Application Deadline – August 31
**Note: Application will be free until August 16, after August 16 there will be an application fee of $100.**
