Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $15,000 to Ohio nonprofit organizations and government agencies in eligible areas for programs that benefit local communities. In addition, grants may be used to help organizations respond to and recover from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Funding is intended to support programs in the focus areas of basic needs, health care, education, and animal welfare. Eligible applicants serve the residents of Delaware County.

Priority will be given to nonprofit organizations that are specifically addressing:

  • Basic needs of individuals including food, housing, and household finances
  • Physical and mental health care
  • Educational needs of children, K-12 students, and adults pursuing their GED and post-secondary education
  • Animal Welfare

COVID-19 presents a challenge of unprecedented complexity and duration for nonprofit organizations. Many are challenged with increased demand for their services, increased costs, and lost revenue due to closures and cancellations. The Foundation recognizes that operating support will be required for organizations to respond and recover from the crisis. In the past, Foundation funding focused solely on capital and programmatic expenses. This year, administrative expenses - not to exceed 20% of the total funding request - will be accepted. Administrative expenses include portions of Director and employee salaries, occupancy costs, and professional services.
