Grants of up to $7,500 to Vermont nonprofit organizations for new, creative, and innovative projects and activities that strengthen the local food system. Applicants requesting funds for an established program must demonstrate how their program accomplishes what has not been done before.

Grant requests can be submitted for projects (or portions of projects) totaling $500 to $7,500.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

City Market grants funding to projects of Vermont nonprofit organizations whose work strengthens the local food system.

Please note that grants are for specific projects and the Foundation will not consider grant requests for general operating funds.

In addition, the Foundation does not donate or grant funds to individuals, partisan organizations, or organizations that advance a particular religious belief.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications will be accepted through Friday, June 24, 2022, at 5 pm.

Postmark dates do not count as receipt dates for this process.

The Board will review the recommendations at a fall 2022 meeting.

Funds will be distributed to grant recipients in March 2023 during the annual grants celebration held at the Co-op.
