Grants of up to $7,500 to Vermont nonprofit organizations for new, creative, and innovative projects that strengthen the local food system. Applicants requesting funds for an established program must demonstrate how their program accomplishes what has not been done before.

Grant requests can be submitted for projects (or portions of projects) totaling $500 to $7,500.

City Market grants funding to projects of Vermont nonprofit organizations whose work strengthens the local food system.

Please note that grants are for specific projects and the Foundation will not consider grant requests for general operating funds.

In addition, the Foundation does not donate or grant funds to individuals, partisan organizations, or organizations that advance a particular religious belief.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due no later than June 25, 2021 at 5pm.

The Board will review the recommendations at a fall 2021 meeting.

Funds will be distributed to grant recipients in March 2021 during the annual grants celebration held at the Co-op.

Applications can be emailed or hard copies may be hand delivered to the Customer Service Desk or mailed to the address below.
