Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to South Dakota nonprofit organizations, units of government, and educational institutions to present a performance by a touring artist. The artists must be chosen from a pre-selected roster. Funding is intended to make the arts available in all areas of the state.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Touring Arts may be sponsored by any South Dakota nonprofit organization, unit of government, or educational institution.

Pre-Application Information:

Matching funds of up to 50 percent of the program cost may be provided from the SDAC.

Support is subject to availability of funds allocated to the Council's program from state and federal sources. Please make arrangements to book Touring Arts as soon as possible, to ensure the availability of the matching funds to your organization.

Once the program is completed, you must pay your share of the artist’s fee directly to the Touring Arts contact person. SDAC pays the matching funds directly to the Touring Arts contact person.
