Community Foundation for Northern Virginia
Grants to Virginia nonprofit organizations in eligible regions for programs addressing critical needs in the community. Consideration will be given to requests for program, capacity building, or general support purposes. Funding may be used to start new programs or to support, enhance, or expand existing programs. Projects must benefit residents of Northern Virginia, defined as the areas within Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties and the Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas Park.
For the 2021 application cycle, the Community Foundation will accept requests in the following categories. Nonprofits must select the single best category to apply.

- Arts: Three grants of $20,000 each.
- Child and Youth Development, Education, and Poverty Relief: Grant requests of $10,000 will be accepted.
- Environment: One $26,000 grant.
- Health, Mental Health, and Aging: One $34,000 grant (provided as $17,000 per year for two years).
- Lamond Fund to Benefit Children and Youth in Alexandria and Fairfax County: Four grants of $20,000.
- Military Personnel and Their Families: Two grants of $17,500 each.
