Mississippi Association for Middle Level Education (MAMLE)
Award to recognize a Mississippi pair or group of teachers for outstanding dedication and efforts to improve the educational experiences of middle school students. This award is intended for a group of teachers that work together to meet the intellectual, physical, and social needs of adolescents, ages 10-14.
A team must have demonstrated outstanding performance in the following areas:
1. Advancement of middle level philosophy in school and/or community
2. Building team identity/cohesion
3. Creative interdisciplinary/integrated curriculum planning
4. Student recognition, service projects and/or special team activities
5. Specific activities designed to meet the social, physical, intellectual and emotional needs of young adolescents
6. Promotion of parent involvement
The presentation of this award will be at the MAMLE Annual Conference in Jackson at the MAMLE Conference Luncheon on March 1, 2017. Each team member on the winning team(s) will be given a complimentary registration valid at the 2018 Annual MAMLE Conference.
