Award of $5,000 to a Maine teacher in Turner, Greene, or Leeds to recognize outstanding innovation in teaching, demonstrated leadership, and exemplary commitment to students and their academic progress. The award is intended for teachers who demand critical thinking in their classrooms, stimulate intellectual curiosity, and inspire students to achieve their best.

Use of the cash award is at the recipient’s discretion.



Full-time teachers with a minimum tenure of five years in MSAD 52 are eligible to be nominated for this award. Recipients may be renominated and will be considered after a hiatus of one year.
