Ballantine Family Fund
Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to Southwest Colorado nonprofit organizations for programs to enhance the quality of life in San Juan, Archuleta, Montezuma, Dolores, and La Plata counties. Funding may be used for specific programs and projects or general operations. Past grants have been awarded to various causes, including education, addiction recovery, theater companies, conservation projects, immigrant resources, children and youth, and soup kitchens.

All organizations applying to the Ballantine Family Fund must be a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization; or be a project or organization under the fiscal agency of a 501(c)(3) organization.
The Ballantine Family Fund does not support:
-Organizations that have not secured their legal 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS or are not under the fiscal agency of a nonprofit
-Organizations that do not serve Southwest Colorado (La Plata, Dolores, Montezuma, Archuleta, and San Juan counties)
Deadlines for submission are:
Proposals must be submitted either prior to or on the deadline date. The Board of Directors reviews grant proposals at quarterly meetings held in February, May, August, and November. Applicants will receive notification of their grant’s status six to eight weeks after the application deadline.
